Job PurposeThe faculty member serves as an academic leader delivering high-quality dental education aligned with
MOHESR and CAA standards. The role integrates student-centered teaching, clinical competency development, impactful research, and interdisciplinary collaboration to graduate competent, ethical, and practice-ready dental professionals while enhancing institutional research excellence.
Core Responsibilities1. Teaching & Clinical Education
Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses using competency-based, evidence-based, and technology-enhanced approaches.ü Apply active learning strategies (case-based learning, problem-based learning, OSCEs, simulation, digital dentistry tools).ü Supervise preclinical laboratory sessions and clinical training.ü Ensure clinical competency and patient safety standards.ü Mentor students and supervise research projects, theses, and clinical case presentations.ü Develop course syllabi aligned with QF Emirates, with CLO–PLO mapping.ü Integrate digital tools, AI applications, and simulation technologies into teaching.
2. Curriculum & Quality Assurance Design and continuously improve curricula in alignment with MOHESR and CAA accreditation standards.ü Ensure constructive alignment between learning outcomes, teaching strategies, and assessment methods.ü Contribute to accreditation processes and preparation of required documentation.ü Participate in course and program evaluation, including assessment reports and continuous quality improvement.ü Support horizontal and vertical integration across dental and basic science disciplines.
3. Research & Scholarly Impact
Maintain an active research portfolio with publications in indexed journals.ü Secure internal and external research funding.ü Present research at national and international conferences.ü Align research with national health priorities and innovation strategies.ü Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research.ü Promote interdisciplinary research across clinical and basic sciences.
4. Student Advising & Academic Support Provide academic advising and guidance on program progression, professional development pathways, and career planning.ü Support student well-being and facilitate access to university support services.ü Participate in thesis/graduation project examination committees.
5. Industry Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer
Provide clinical supervision and patient care within university clinics.ü Establish partnerships with hospitals, dental centers, and healthcare organizations.ü Contribute to continuing dental education (CDE/CPD) programs.ü Engage in consultancy, outreach, and collaborative clinical/research initiatives.ü Support student clinical placements and employability.6. Academic Service & University Engagementü Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.ü Participate in curriculum development and policy implementation.ü Contribute to student recruitment, outreach, and academic events.ü Foster an inclusive and professional academic environment.

8–10 years with sustained research leadership and funded research
LicensureEligibility for UAE dental licensure (MOH/DHA/DOH) for clinical specialties
Research Active Scopus profile with rank-appropriate h-index; FWCI ≥ 1 preferred
Language English (fluent, required); Arabic (desirable)
