Job Title: Nursing Lecturer (Open Specialty – Medical Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Maternity Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Critical Care Nursing and Community Health Nursing)

Job Purpose
The lecturer serves as a clinical–academic educator delivering high-quality nursing education aligned with ACEN standards and UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) regulations. The role integrates clinical teaching, simulation and laboratory facilitation, academic advising, quality assurance, and industry engagement to graduate practice-ready nurses, while supporting theoretical instruction.
Core Responsibilities

Teaching & Clinical Education

  • Facilitate student learning in clinical, laboratory, and simulation environments using competency-based and experiential approaches.
  • Support delivery of theoretical courses under the supervision of senior faculty (Assistant/Associate/Professor).
  • Apply experiential learning methods (simulation, OSCEs, case-based learning).
  • Supervise clinical training, internships, and student progression in collaboration with healthcare partners.
  • Provide academic advising, mentoring, and support for professional development.
  • Supervise and assess student projects (e.g., capstone/graduation projects).
  • Utilize LMS and digital/AI-enabled tools to enhance learning engagement, assessment, feedback, and academic integrity.

Curriculum, Assessment & Quality Assurance

  • Prepare and maintain course documentation (syllabi, CLOs, PLO alignment, assessments, rubrics, course reports).
  • Contribute to curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure constructive alignment, learning outcomes assessment, and competency attainment.
  • Support accreditation and quality assurance processes (MOHESR/CAA and relevant nursing standards).

Scholarly Activities & Professional Development

  • Engage in practice-based or scholarly activities (presentations, workshops, applied clinical innovation projects, and publications).
  • Support student research and promote a scholarly learning environment.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to enhance teaching, clinical, and academic practice.

Industry Collaboration & Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain partnerships with healthcare organizations.
  • Contribute to CPD/CNE programs, workshops, and clinical training initiatives.
  • Support student placement, employability initiatives, and applied projects with industry.
  • Participate in community outreach and health promotion activities.

Academic Service

  • Serve on departmental and college committees.
  • Contribute to academic administration, program development, and institutional initiatives.
  • Uphold professional, ethical, and academic standards (confidentiality, patient safety, integrity).

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (relevant specialty) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of academic teaching experience.
  • 2–5 years of clinical experience in a relevant specialty.

Licensure

  • Eligibility for UAE nursing licensure (MOH / DHA / DOH).

Scholarly Profile (Preferred)

  • Evidence of scholarly contributions (presentations, publications, or applied work).

Technical & Pedagogical Skills

  • Simulation-based education and competency-based curriculum delivery.
  • LMS, blended/digital learning, and assessment design.
  • AI literacy and ability to integrate AI tools in teaching and education.

Industry & Collaboration

  • Engagement with healthcare partners and contribution to training/workshops.

Languages

  • English (fluent, required); Arabic (desirable).
